Volunteer Opportunities Currently Available

Several volunteer opportunities are currently available at ERH.

We are currently seeking volunteers to assist in:

Hopwood Centre – Consumer Feedback

• Provide QR codes for feedback surveys and assist people to complete them (own device or hospital iPad – training provided).
• Collect feedback in person or by follow-up contact.
• Shifts: Flexible 3-hour shifts, mornings or afternoons, Monday to Friday.

Emergency Department & Medical Ward Volunteer

• Offer emotional and social support to patients through conversation.
• Assist clinical staff with restocking supplies and preparing cubicles between patients.
• Shifts:
  • Medical Wards: 3 hours, Morning or afternoon, Monday to Friday.
  • Emergency Department: 3 hours, Morning or afternoon, Saturday and Sunday.

Cancer & Wellness Centre Volunteer

• Greet and assist with check-in and wayfinding.
• Provide information on wellbeing programs and assist with bookings.
• Help patients access refreshments, educational materials, and internet kiosks.
• Restock brochures, prepare information packs, and assist with patient surveys.
• Support staff to ensure programs and services run smoothly.
• Shifts: Week days (except Wednesday) — 4 hours, 9 am to 1 pm.
