Echuca Regional Health has a team of 120 passionate and enthusiastic volunteers who provide invaluable support to our patients, their families and our staff . From helping families find their way around the hospital, to visiting bored, bed-bound patients, assisting staff with administrative tasks and providing respite for parents, the input of our volunteers is vital to the day-to-day functioning of the hospital.
Our program is delivered across the following areas, with all volunteer roles supporting the patient experience;
- Emergency Department
- General Wards and Rehabilitation
- Concierge Desk
- Administration and Day Surgery Reception
- Kiosk Trolley
- Glanville Village
All ERH volunteers are recruited, trained and managed by the Volunteer Coordinator, who is part of the Executive Administration team. Interested volunteers must go through our application process, which ensures those who are successful have the skills, expertise and commitment to volunteering that we are looking for.
Information on how to apply to become an ERH volunteer, as well as details on what the minimum requirements are, can be found on the How to become a volunteer page.
